Rich & the Poor

Some people are born rich, some manage to become rich through their dedication and hard work they've put in, to gain success. While some are living a BPL (Below Poverty Line).  Being rich has very little to do with luck and it’s all got to do with habits.  Everyone has rich and some poor habits. Rich men cultivate rich habits– Success habits of wealthy individuals.
“These are like snowflakes-they build up, and then you have an avalanche of success”
- Thomas Corley
They think positive all the time & are optimists. Some of the rich habits are:
1.      Rich men keep their goals in sight- They focus on their goals and write. A wish isn’t a goal. A goal is a goal when it’s achievable and there’s a physical action you can put in.
2.      They know what needs to be done today- Wealthy mean maintain a to-do lists. They not only maintain but complete 70% or more of their tasks each day.
3.      They hardly watch TV- Even if they do. They will watch reality shows or something productive. It’s coz they are engaged in some other daily habitual behavior- reading, writing etc.
4.      They do a lot of reading- Wealthy men are voracious readers.  They don’t just read for fun, they read self-improvement books instead.
5.      They make a point to give their 100% in every work they do- They put in a lot of handwork. Expect less.
6.      They take risks- They don’t play it safe with their money always.  Most of the business tycoons has put their own money on the table and has taken financial risks.
7.      They watch their waistline- They value their health too. Health is wealth
8.      They take care of their smiles- Rich people floss every day.
Rich people work hard and rack up plenty of mistakes and failures along the path of success. Chances are that on your way to where you are, there were tough times too. Whether in your personal life or in your business, you will inevitably encounter difficult and unpleasant people, bad situation, and uncontrollable events. What separates rich men from the spiteful one is how they handle disappointments.
The victors adjust their game plan and overcome by doing the right thing, both mentally and in their actions.  The victims stew and brood dwell in revenge fantasies and never forgive any offense.  So what do you call yourselves- Victim or victor?
Remember- ‘It’s not your fault if you are born poor but if you die poor it’s your fault’   J

"Social Media Is One Of the Major Source For Big data"

Every day we share  millions of posts on Facebook,  tweets on twitter,  texts, videos clips & images on Watsapp, Instagram and various other social media. But, have you ever, thought where all the data gets stored? Does it provide security? Is it safe to use?

Social media is one of the major issue  for the explosion of data over the internet. In the recent years, 2.5  quintillion  bytes of data has been produced. It has increased by 90% for two years and in 2014 it's going to be even more. Earlier, data was stored in storage media like hard drives, pen drives, magnetic tapes etc. You see, sizes vary from kilobytes to megabytes to gigabytes to terabyte to petabyte to exabyte to zettabyte and even yottabyte. Imagine the size of the data. It's a challenging task for analyzing and processing of such huge data.

Thus,  for defining these massive data generated everyday is called as- "Big Data". Big data is amplified by 4V's i.e. Velocity(How fast data is processed),Volume(the amount of data generated), Variety(it's the size which varies from terabytes to many petabytes of data),  and Veracity (uncertainty of data e.g- hash tags in Twitter, colloquial speeches used in the posts).

Big data can't be managed by conventional tools like Hadoop, MapReduce, BeeHive, NoSQL etc. It's an asset to the various organizations. Therefore,  a lot of backups  & data securities are implemented to prevent the loss of data. If  the infrastucture gets destroyed, it can be constructed over a period of time. But, in case of data it's not the case. Once, lost it can't be retrieved. Loss of Big data means loss to business. Therefore, conventional  tools have been used to protect data.

Data is categorized to structured & unstructured. Structured includes graphs, databases, pdf file, word doc files etc. Whereas, unstructured includes- images, video clips, audio, emails, all sorts of files in the internet. Unstructured data is the major cause for the rise of the Big data.

The size of Big data is too huge and can't be stored in device. Data lives in the Cloud (intelligent side) and is important for services. Variety of services are available over the internet that delivers computational functionality on clouds. Cloud acts like a skynet i.e. internet in the sky. Hence, it's a storage  for Big data. For instance, we can save our files, images, videos in Google drive.

Hence, the major challenges faced by Big data are security and privacy concerns. Many Big data companies like IBM, Amazon, Oracle, Google etc. are working on these major issues

Have you ever thought whether, those texts and images which you exchange on watsapp, post on Facebook, twitter etc. are safe? Did you know where your data is getting stored?

Now, that you have a gist about Big data. If you would like to discuss. Please share :)

"Shoot The Dogs Early"

Well , don’t get mistaken by the title. It’s got a total different meaning. We are living in a generation ‘Y ‘  where our lives are at ease with the rise of technologies. We are living in a place where there are a lot of hustle bustle in the streets, workplaces, bus stops, metro-stations, in fact everywhere we go. Decade ago, life was totally different as what we see today.

People are caught up with their busy lives trying to cope up with the changing world. Hence, sometimes forgetting to deal with important things. Many a times we fall into trouble. It’s like a deja vu.  We don’t think about the consequences at the initial stage. Hence, worry only when things have happened or is at it's worst case. Then, we spend days and nights thinking and trying to solve the problem. Yet we don’t get any solution to it. We don’t get satisfied with people around and tend to shut them. We feel so helpless. Nobody will understand (even your close people may not). We may see things falling a part and everything as sad.
We want an answer to some questions which we may not get. There will be so many whys? We get suffocated and feel hopeless when no answers are found.

Instead of whining about what has already happened & find a key solution to the problem. We need to be determined and me strong. It doesn’t matter how many times we crawl. What matters is how hard we tried. “Life’s a box of chocolate, you never know what you are gonna get”.
Therefore, without keeping expectations make up your mind and analyse where did you go wrong? Was it your fault or others? Keep calm and think. Remember, to check yourself step by step, become the court and jury, the prosecuting attorney and the attorney for defense, and then plaintiffs and the defendant, also, that you are on a trial. Now face the facts squarely.

Ask yourself  questions and get definite and direct replies. When the examination is over you will get to know more about yourself. Still if you have doubts about it. Take a help of a person who knows you well and are trustworthy. Ask them to serve as a judge. You are after the truth. Get it, “no matter at any cost even, though it may temporarily embarrass you”.

The title mentioned above only means “When you have a problem,  deal with it”. Running away from it is no solution, it only shows that you are a coward & you have low Self-respect. God has given us brains to analyze and think. We humans have high emotional intelligence. So, why not make use of it?
